10 years ago (1999) not really a big year for me, but it was for Christopher as it was the year his youngest daughter was born. For those that were around at that time it was hard to believe that Brittany is almost 10 years old.
20 years ago (1989) that was a pretty big year, Christopher recieved his first posting in the Air Force and was sent to Greenwood, Nova Scotia. I followed him a couple of months later, and a couple of months after that we were married. I was also pregnant with our first child by the end of the year. This was the year my nephew was born and also the year that brought me the first tradegy of my life...my sister-in-law and her family were killed in a car accident. I can't believe I have lived the past 20 years without them.
30 years ago (1979) I don't really remember much of my childhood but this was a huge year for me, my father decided to follow his sister and brother-in-law and move to Alberta, leaving behind the rest of our family and all our friends to start life over in the oil right province, our lives would never be the same after this year. Old friends were lost and new ones were made and for the first time in my life I saw that there was beautiful parts of Canada that would one day be home...no matter where I would live the mountains of Alberta would be home.
40 years ago (1969) this was the year my husband was born. It was the year my parents were married and the year I was concieved. 1969 was the start of it all.
So 2009 is a year of many anniversaries for me, some good some bad but a year that I will look back and think of the changes that have made my life what it is today.
