Random Ramblings

First I took my son to the orthodontist today...he has had his braces for a year and a half now and they told us when they went on that it would be 18-24 months...well it has been 18.  Every time he has asked them how things are going they say everything is right on schedule...not sure what that meant exactly but that was the only answer they would give him.  Well today he went in there hoping they would tell him that they would be off soon...instead they told him all of a sudden he is two to six months behind schedule...that means another eight months to a year of braces.  My son is 18 and looking at going away to college in the fall...he didn't want to have to deal with coming home for orthodontist appointments...  I just don't understand how one month he can be right on schedule and the next appointment a month later he has fallen two to six months behind schedule???

Second I got a message on my answering machine from the power/gas company...the message saying I have to call within the next 24 hours.  So I call first they refuse to talk to me because supposedly my name is not on the account...not sure how that is as we filled out the paperwork when we bought our new house in July and my husband put both our names on the account.  Anyway my husband called the company and spoke to them...our bill for this month was a bill one that we weren't expecting so we divided the payment between the pay that came when the bill was due and the pay we get tomorrow...well according to the guy on the phone the bill was due on 15 Jan 09 and on the 16 Jan 09 your bill is now 30 days in the rears...how is it possible that you don't pay your bill one day after it is due and you then are 30 days behind...does that even make sense?  So now we have a mark against our credit because our bill is 30 days behind when half the bill was paid on the due date and half less than 30 days later?

Third is about hair my son is an individual to say the least...he doesn't like to be like everyone else, he says what he thinks and doesn't really care if others share his opinion...and as much as I like this quality in him I hate it when it comes to his hair.  My family has very thick hair that tends to "have a mind of it's own" and his is no exception.  He has beautiful thick hair but since he wears glasses it tends to curl out around his glasses...giving him kind of a just woke up don't really care what I look like look.  His girlfriend decided she should straighten his hair for him during a recent visit and he decided I should straighten it for him so we could take pictures...
Here is the before

And the after:

And lastly my baby got hurt at preschool today...he slipped and hurt his nose...fortunately it was a little boo-boo.

Wow! That's some hair! It's kinda neat kinda crazy looking though. I have sorta flat hair LOL.

wow! look at the difference with his hair! lol, who new...:)
I am so sorry about the gas bill. I hate when this stuff comes out like that!
I've had braces on since I was in the 5th grade to the 8th grade. They usually say stuff like "Oh yeah, your doing perfect!" and then when the day comes to basically take them off, they say your not ready to have them off. Its crazy, I would ask them why they are not allowed to come off and why did they tell you he was doing great when really he wasn't?

Your son's hair looks so cute straight! That's crazy about the gas company. Hopefully you get that straightened out!

I love the hair! I hate power/gas/credit card/ insert bill collector's name here companies. They act like you're the worst if you're a day late, but they love to charge late fees!

wow- it's amazing how different it looks when it's straight! That totally stinks about the braces. I remember I had a retainer for YEARS and it was awful :(
