Music of My Life

In my house I have six people and every one of those likes a different kind of music, my husband loves the classic rock from the 60s-80s; my son likes the same rock but the stuff now...you know the same songs being re-released by someone who thinks they are being original; my daughter changes her musical interests everyday, one day it is country the next pop; my youngest daughter likes what her older sister likes becauase she wants to be just like her; and the baby loves anything he can really rock to. That being said I hear so much music in a day that I really don't know what I like any more. If it isn't blaring from a cd player or ipod belonging to one of my children then it doesn't get listened to around here.

No don't get me wrong I like music, and listening to the radio every time I taxi the kids to and from their lives I get some song stuck in my head. I am usually going around the house humming some tune, the worst part is that I have no idea what it is that I am humming, or I have two or three lines from a song repeating over and over but can't remember the rest of the song. My daughter is bad for playing the same artist over and over so she will play five songs by Taylor Swift so often that if you ever hear them again you are going to scream, then she will switch to her favourite songs by Kelly Clarkson and play them till you are ready to scream. Music is a big part of our life in that there is always some playing, and I mean always :) It is so bad that my 5 year old says "it's too quiet in here" when there is no music playing while we are eating dinner. Now I am not going to say that all the music that is playing is good, but it is music. And some times it is just the theme song to whatever video game is being played :)

So I guess the question is what is my favourite song? That is a good question because I really don't think I have one, there are many songs out there right now that I like and a few that I am not that fond of the song but love the lyrics. The worst part is I usually hear it on the radio and don't know who sings it or anything until I hear it again and hope the DJ tells me what song it is :( So I guess with all the music in my life I don't have one song that sits as my favourite right now.
