One Day I Would Love To Meet You...

Many people are pulled into the world of celebrities and spend so much time wishing they could meet their favourite TV/movie star? Wanting to meet that person, spending all their time wishing they could get to know that person. For me I don't really think that would be something I would want to do. Those people are just people getting paid to do a job (although some of them get paid way too much). Those people don't hold any special meaning to me, they are not anyone important, yes they might be great actors, singers, authors or whatever it is they do but that doesn't make them fit into my world.

For me I would like to meet someone who is down to earth, who has lived a regular life and has learnt valuable lessons they can share with me. I have 'met' some people like that through scrapbook.com and these are the ones I would love to meet someday. I have met some wonderful people who have pulled me through some of the worst times of my life without even knowing they are doing it. Some of their insights have shown me new ways to look at old problems. Some of their jokes/stories have given me laughs that pulled me out of a slump even if only for the moment. I have learnt valuable lessons right along side of them, and have hopefully helped them with some of the lessons I have learnt on my own.

I would name names but I don't want to forget anyone, but you ladies know who you are the ones who have been there for me when I really needed you, even when you didn't know you were doing it. I have learnt so much from all of you and one day it would be amazing to see you in person and be able to get to know you a little better, to be able to see the places you speak of. To see your darling children/grandchildren and be able to put a person with those awesome pictures and scrapbook pages. To see craft rooms that create some of the best crafts I have ever seen. To talk about life and learn how to get through my life with my head held high. It is you ladies that one day I would like to meet.
