Fun in the Sun...I mean Snow

Well we have had some crazy weather here in the frozen North this winter...one day it is -40C with windchills and the next day it is +8C and beautiful. Today was a beautiful day it started out -20C with windchills and is now at a beautiful +2C. The kids had a wonderful time playing in the yard building snow men/dogs and having snow ball fights...of course while I scrapped three inches of solid ice from the drive way :(

Here are some of my favourite pics for the day...

Connor built a one armed snow man, he was upset when we were done that the snowman didn't come to life. I told him that maybe it was because we didn't have things like in the song...you know button nose and corn cob pipe. He sat down and the snow and got all teary eyed and said "we need a corn cob".

He thought he was so cute out there today, with his sun glasses on, is such a handsome dude :)

This picture amazes me, he looks so angelic. He has that "who me" look on his face. I just love it.

Brittany decided she would try to build her snow dog again...since we had buttons out there for the snow man I think this one actually looks much more like a snow dog than the last one.

After all her hard work, Connor moved his arm and knocked his head off...oh well maybe we can try again tomorrow :)

Last week we had a really nice day and I forgot to post pictures of my oldest daughter Ariel building her snow man and throwing Connor around in the snow...so here are a couple of my faves.

After building a snow man Ariel and Connor jumped in and made a couple snow angels...

Yes this picture is the right direction...it is Connor crawling through the snow bank after making snow angels. I just love his smile.

Hopefully this is the start of spring and the end of -40C for this year my poor babies are going stir crazy being locked inside all the time.
